For over two decades, the Maruti Alto 800 has been a household name for budget-conscious car buyers in India’s hatchback market.

Enhanced Performance and Efficiency: The new Alto 800 still uses a more refined 796cc, three-cylinder petrol engine. The engine is updated to the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission norms for cleaner operation. Though no performance figures have been announced, it will be expected to deliver both power and fuel efficiency that will be suited for city commutes and highway runs.
Modern Interiors and Improved Comfort: The Alto 800 has an interior with much more advanced features than the old Alto. The cabin houses a new 7-inch multi-touch screen infotainment system where one can play music, get navigation, and connect with the phone. A digital instrument cluster replaces analog dials and offers a much more modern look and informative readout. Seat cushioning has also been improved for passenger comfort during long journeys.
Safety First: The emphasis on safety seems to be strongly placed on this new Alto 800 from Maruti. So, this comes with dual front airbags—not a feature present in entry-level hatchbacks normally. Besides this, ABS with EBD is standard for enhanced braking and reverse parking sensors that do help during those tight maneuvers when parking.
Maruti Alto 800 Price and Expected Launch
The launch date of the 2024 Maruti Alto 800 is also near. No specific date of its launch is yet announced. But it’s said to arrive sometime in [expected launch year]. This car would come with four variants. The entry-level would begin from an exciting price of Rs. 3.25 lakh. This could easily make a good position for this new Alto 800 as a prominent model in the low-budget hatchback section.
